During the 'visit to Waihi of the Premier some three years ago representations were made to him by the Waihi Miners' Union in referencce to the tllesirat ility of a Waihi resident Mining Inspector. The outcome of that visit, and the Union's representations has .been, the appointment of a resident inspector in the person of Mr J. Ryan, sub-inspector, a position he has filled for close en eight yearsMr Ryan entered upon his new sphere of duties last week, and is'at th© present moment on the look out for a suitable residence with a view to bringing his wife and family, residing, at Thames, to Waihi.
