RELIEF FOR THE SUFFERERS. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, November 22. A cheque for £317 was handed to the Mayor this. morningl as the protceeds of a cricket match, on Wednesday got up by the ladies of Williamson's Opera Company on behalf of 'the EUganxite sufferers. The Mayor on behiai'f of! the 'eofinimi£te«f presented each lady with a silver fernleaf badge inscribed "Elkigamite," and warmly commended them for the way in which they had personally worked by selling tickets and otherwise to make the j function so successful.
