DEAD-BODY FOUND AT NEAVESVILLE.

Information has been received by Sergeant GJark of the discovery of an infant's dead body at Neavesville Tha full particulars are not to hand, as investigations are still proceeding, the body is described as that of a European child about three months old, the sex being at present unknown It appears that a party of gumdiggerc wore working in the bush near Neavesville when thtpy noticed a quantity of fresh earth, into which rushes had been placed. They decided to investigatf. and proceeded to dig up. Several suds were dislodged, and the party growing curious as to how the soil had been previously- dislodged (they were work ing in an unfrequented bush i removed the earth until portion of a shawl was disclosed, and further digging
