A Reuter message states that Sir W. Laurier will be unable to visit Australia, and that Mr Mulock, the Postmaster-General will represent Canada at the opening of the Commonwealth Parliament.
SYDNEY, March 5. The writs for the Senate election have been issued.
BRISBANE, March 5.
Great difficulty is experienced in delivering the Federal election documents to outside districts owing to the effects of droughts. In some districts special coaches are necessary and others are only reachable with camels. \
