By' the 8.30 train tliis morning the Hons. Thomas Duncan and James McGowan arrived on. the Thames. With the party was Mr. G. Mueller,' Commissioner of Ciwvtn Lands,'Mr Hursthou'se, surveyor and the private secretaries of the Mem* bei-s. The visitors after breakfast at the Pacifio, proceeded to Short-land -wharf and by the Patiki left for the Piako. Accompanying the members ,were Mr T. Dunlop, County Chairman, Mr LI J. Bagnall, Messrs Gco; Bagnall, McEnteer, Corbett, Elliott, Captain' Mair, and' others.' Mr Dunlops arrangemets are to take tho nvisitors as far up the Piako' -its ' Keripehi, and then tranship into Mr launch. The Minister of Lands, Mr ' Duncan, ia determined, to see for himself the whole of \the Piako country, and as v with the exception of- a block of 9000 acres, yet 'in the hands of the natives, the whole district is Government land.
