SERIOUS ACCIDENT TO ARTILLERY DETACHMENT.
SYDNEY, December 29. While the Royal Horse Artillery were gun drilling in Moore Park this morning, and firing one of the fifteen pounders brought out, for reason unexplained the breech block blew out. Sergeant Gupp was injured in the face and eyes, Gunner Tudor's left arm was blown off below the elbow, Private Cole was injured in the face, and Gunner Tyler waa slightly in. jured. The first three were taken to the hospital.
