Outrage by Turkish Soldiers.
BRITISH REPRESENTATIVES ASSAULTED. . AN APOLOGY DEMANDED.' [Per Priss Association— Coftbioht.) CONSTANTINOPLE, December 29. Three members of the British Embassy at Constantinople were assaulted by Turkish soldiers. While M. De Bunsen, Secretory to the Embassy, Colonel J. G. Ponsonby, military attache, and Lieutenant Villiers were riding in the city they were set upon on the pretext thab they were trespassing near the powder magazine. The soldiers dragged Bunsen from his horse, slashed Villiers across the face with a whip, and prodded Colonel Ponsonby in the back with n bayonet.
Bunsen has demanded from the Porte tho punishment of the assailants and an apology from the officer commanding.
