There is splendid weather for the second day's races, and the attendance is larger than on Wednesday. Petone Handicap—Falka, 1; Volley, 2; Sedgebrook, 3. All started except Wedlock. Won easily by two lengths. Time, 1.44 4-5. A protest for inconsistent running was dismissed. Dividend, £69 11s.
Hack Welter—Myra, 1; Matarawa, 2; Dumdum, 3. Won easily. Time, 1.47 4-5.
