Madame Melba has written a touching letter congratulating Madame Dreyfus.
SYDNEY, Sept, 28,
The Governor, speaking at a banquet, said it was all very well to speak of liberty, equality and fraternity' in France, but there certainly was not freedom or equality, as a soldier was distinguished from a man, and "fraternity" excluded a Jew. He characterised the trial as a hideous travesty of justice.
