London, January 20. The Pavonia spent twenty days in terrific weather.
Some of the boilers got adrift in the hold, and were only secured after four days' continuous exertion, on the 10th instant.
For two days the situation was desperate.
The British steamer Wolvistone commenced io tow her, but the cable broke.
The steamers separated at night, but met again pn the 13th, and the Pavonia was safely towed to the Azores.
The passengers and crew are al safe.
