Government Caucus.

Wellington, July 4. The usual. weekly caucus of the Government party was held to-day. It was found that the extra number of members who would have voted against Capt. Russell's amendment was nine, thus making the Government a majority on the no^confidence motion of fifteen.
It was understood that the necessary legislation would be introduced with the Police Commission's and other reports, It was announced that the Immigration Restriction Bill would be on similar lines to the Natal Act. The Premier stated that the order of business as on the order paper would be adhered to. j
