Prohibition.

(To the Editor.)

Sik,—l see that " A Bit of a Kid " has been quoting Scripture* and as one good turn deserves another, I wish you would allow me to call bis or her attention to St. Luke, chap. XI, 40th verse. I would also like to know from " A Bit of a Kid " or any other Prohibitionist, how we are to keep out of their debt, if we are forced to throw up remunerative work because they do not m ant us to do it. Of what benpfit is it to the publicans to be walking the streets or the unemployed to see a lot of others thrown, out ? Can the publicans find employment in the army or navy, or are the Prohibitionists going to find work for them ? If " A Bit of a Kid " knows of better employment for one's spare time, let us have it. I know of several who would be glad to know.—l am, etc.,

i P. S.—The following is the quotation I refer to :—"Ye fools, did not H« that made that which is without make that which is within also." St. Luke; Chap. XI; 40th verse.
