The committee of ladies who have in hand the arrangements for the social in connection with St. Francis Ohurch to be held to-morrow evening in St. George's Hall have used every effort to make it a great Buccess, and it is anticipated a large gathering will be present. The programme »of a varied nature, comprising solod by Miss Featon, of Auckland, Miss Davies, Mrs Bruce, and Messrs Consterdine and Johnston, and musical selections by Misses Fortune and Garvey and Miss Stephenson, of Russell, who will play a violin solo. A one act comedy entitled "Whitebait ft Greenwich," by local amateurs, will follow Messrs Williams and Booth have been engaged to provide the dance music, and and altogether an enjoyable evening should be the result. The charge for admission is one shilling, and tickets may be obtained from the ladies belonging to the church.
