SHIPMENT OF VARNISHES AND
PAINTS.
Mr J. Paterson, the manager of the New Zealand Paint Manufacturing and Varnish Works shipped to Christchurch yesterday thirteen oases of assorted varnishes. Previous to this, shipments have been Bent to Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, and Invercargill, and that they have given general satisfaction is evidenced by the firms repeating their orders. This indeed speaks well for local industry, and the firm are to be congratulated upon their success. An order is now in hand for supplying 560 gallons of assorted varnishes for the Wellington market, and at an early date- shipments are to be made to Sydney and Brisbane,; where agencies have been established.
