Another attempt is to be mtde to develop goldmining at Terawhiti. Fourteen or fifteen yean ago gold was washed out of the creeks there, but all endeavors to find the reefs from, which it came failed. A year or two ago two reefs were discovered, and a syndicate has now been formed t« work them if the tests prove payable.
