McISAAC'S.

The manager reports :—"The low level tunnel still continues to penetrate a good class of sandstone country Young Australia tunnel: Two men are engaged driving en the course of the reef, which is traversing an excellent class of sandstone country. The reef is split up into two ribs, but has every appeal ance of coming together again, and should soon form into a solid body of stone. We have broken none of the reef dowry yet, ; but expect to do so in the course ef a few days. Stoping operations with two men will be proceeded with at once. We have a quartz paddock ready which will accommodate fifty tons of ore.—S. IiOUGHUN."

VICTORIA. The manager reports :~"Good progress continues to be made in opening up the block below No. 2 level, 70ft having been driven eastward from the winze. The leader still remains split up into a number of ribs of quartz, in almost all of which a little gold may be seen. In the leading stope over itbis drive these stringers appear to be coming together and a few pounds of stone are occasionally obtained from this point, In the second and third stopes the same class of ore is bating .won although the leader is rather litiaiier here. The western drive at level is passing through a broken class of country at present, but hs the Imperial break should shortly be at hand, this I think will account for the .unsettled state of the country.—J.
