(Per Press Association.)
Wellington, March 24. To-day William Glenn, while undergoing an operation on his eye at the Hospital, died under chloroform. March 25.
At the inquest on the body of William Glenn, who died while under chloroform, the medical evidence showed that according to a prior examination, while the heart was weak and one lung not working very well, there was no apparent danger from the administration of the drug. Shortly after tho drug was administered, the patient began to struggle, and the administration was continued, as that was less dangerous than to atop it. The Jury returned a verdict of death from rupture of the heart, resulting from a diseased condition, and struggling while under chloroform.
