Breach of Promise Case.
Auckdand, March 23. In the breach of promise action, Caroline Firry V.GecrgeCrotkers, His Honor in summing up said that no .doubt the. verdict must be for plaintiff whose evidence was clear and straightforward. He hoped with regard to. the borrowed money that it would bei dealt with in another place. The plaintiff was fortunate in not marrying such a scoundrel as defendant. The jury retired, and after a few'miriuW deliberation brought in a verdict for the tull amount claimed. His Honor entered up judgment, accordingly costs on the lowest scale.
