The Britannia mine is now being developed under the direction of the New Zealand Globe Exploration Company. A second lot of exceedingly rich specimens were secured which when brought to Westport proved to be far superior to anything ever seen in the district. The General Exploration Company (German capitalists) are developing a large auriferous area at Charleston, Addison's and Fairdown. The Anglo* Ne«v Zealand Syndicate has taken the option of the Lady Agnes lease on Carson's Reward line, Mokihinui,
