LICENSING DISTRICT 0)? OHINEMURI. NOTICE OF POLLING DAY. IN Pursuance of "The Electoral Act, 1893," " The Alcoholic Liquors Pale Control Act, 1803," and their amendments, I, FREDERICK DUNCAN FERGU3SON, Returning Officer for the Licensing District of Ohinemuri, do hereby give notice that an ELECTION will be held for the return of FIVE qualified persons to serve as Members of the Licensing Committee for tho said District; and that the latest day for receiving nominations will be WEDNESDAY, tho 24th day of March, 1897 ; and that the POLL, if necessary, will be taken at the several polling places of the said District on WFDNESDAY, the thirty-first day of March, 1697. Every person desirous of becoming a Candidate must be qualified und- ? Section Six of " The Alcoholic Liquors Sale Control Act, 1893," and must be nominated by not less than two Electors of the bu'4 District by a Nomination Paper as prescribed by Section Seventy-five of '• The Electoral Act, 1893," as amended by Section Fifteen of " The Electoral Act Amendment Act, 1896," delivered to the Returning Officer not later than five o'clock in the after .oon of WEDNESDAY, the twenty-fourth day of March, 1897 ; and must signify to the Returning Officer his consent to the Nomin-1 ation; and the said Candidate, or somej person on his behalf, must Deposit, at the same time, with the Returning Officer, the sum of IEN POUNDS in accordance with Section Seventy-seven of " The Electoral Act, 18 3."
