MANAGERS' REPORTS.

KAISER,

The manager reports as follows:— The country is getting more settled on the course of the new reef, and the lode appears much larger, and contains a large quantity of the very beat description of minerals—namely, copper, iron pyrites, and galena, all of which are considered the most favor* able indications for gold, particularly in this locality. The lode measures about 18in., and is chiefly composed of rubbly quartz. The drive is now forward 63ft on the westerly course. Paul's drive: Here we have stone showing about Bin. thick, and can obtain gold by pounding. The country is, however, not of a favourable class for gold, but we can see a good channel of country about 30ft. ahead in Paul's crosscut. When advanced forward to that point, we may expect an improvement.—-W. Mahtix.
