Axjckianb, March 12. WAIHI RETURN. The result of the past month's run for the Waibi Company came to hand this afternoon, 3120 tons of ore having been treated for a yield valued at £10,585, making a grand total of £516,085. '

CUIRASSIER. During the last few weeks highly important developments have taken place here, and in the No. 2 reef, thought to be the Four-in-Hand, splendid stone has made its appearance, as a result of which the manager banked yesterday at the Bank of New Zealand, Coromandel, 651b stone of picked and specimen quality, which assuredly betokens the value to some extent of the reef.

EOYAL STANDARD. Mr Kersey Cooper, who is now in Auckland, states in connection with the Royal Standard property it is intended co erect an up to date plant, while an air compressor and Rand drill have already been procured in London, A forty-stamp battery will be put up with as little delay as possible. As soon as Colonel Le Mes surier, director of the Royal Standard, arrives from Coolgardie where he is at present inspecting properties, a local board of advice will be appointed. He and Mr Cooper also intend visiting the company's property and the Waitekauri Junction, which it is intended to float as soon as an opportunity offers.

WAIHI SOUTH. The manager of the Waihi South wires:—" The ground is improving in the di'ive going north and there is every appearance of the reef being near at hand."

GRAND JUNCTION. Mr Leonard Welstead, accompanied by Captain Robson, mining engineer, paid a visit yesterday to the Grand Junction and Martha mines, Waihi.

PROSPECT (Ktuotunu). The manager wired this morning: — " Struck reef carrying gold in the eastern crosscut." KAISER. A return of a ton of ore from the Kaiser mine, treated at the Thames School of Mines, came to hand to-day. The value per ton is £5 18s 3d. The treatment of a trial parcel at Fraser and Sons' plant will not be completed I till to-morrow evening. However, a bulk assay of this lot gave a valuo of £6 9s 10£ d per ton.

WAITEKAURI COMPANY. Mr Purchas, superintendent of the Waitekauri Company's property at Waitekauri, has severed his connection with this company and is about to assume the management of the Komata section, which is being taken up by a new company of English, investors. Mr W. Davey, the new general manager of the Waitekauri Company, J has arrived from England and will take chaige in a few days.
