Wesleyan Conference.

At the Conference it was reported that it was the intention of the General Conference that the report from each Stationing Committee should be presented to the Ministerial Conference and that the actual station sheet should be dealt with by the Ministerial Conference. The Rev. Mr Morley said this was the construction which had always been put oc the matter. The Rev. Mr Ready, Dunediu, received permission to visit England and a young minister is to be granted him as supply. The Rev. L. M. Isitt was relieved of circuit work for another term and was made asupernumerary, andtheßev Mr Bull, of Auckland, who is preparing a jubilee volumeon"MethodisminNew Zealand " was made a supernumerary for one year, aho the Rev. John Law. The President expressed sorrow that so many ministers were compelled owing to failing health to take this step." The Rev. A. J. Murray and John Orchard are returning to full work.

I At the Wesleyan Conference it was decided not to receive any ministers from other Conferences this year. The report on properties show the following values : Churches, £145,072; schoolrooms, £31,055 ; sites, £51,845 ; parsonages, £36,837, and with other buildings bring the total to £267,060. The total insurances are £130,478, and the debts are £40,268. The value of properties brought iuto the united church is £27,322 including these new properties. The percentage of debt to the total value is 12*87 against 13 '90 last year.
Later
At the Wesleyan Conference a propesal by Mr Stephens, Otago, that matters conuected with the purchase and sale of property be referred to the Church building and loan fund committee was discussed and carried. A committee was appointed to consider and report on the question of forming a Fire Insurance Company to take the risks on the Wesleyan churches, etc. The Roy. Mr Bauiuber reported a balance qf £22 in connection with the children's fund, the income for the year being £}BQS.

At the Wesleyan Conference, the Rev. Mr Morley presented a report on the public funds. Since the fund was originated, special subscriptions for the relief of church debts, amounting to £3142, hud been paid to the local trusts indicated by the donors. £1000 had been invested on behalf of Home missions ; £2000 set aside for a special branch of tho loan fund, and £850 to ordinary capital.
The Rev Mr Morley, -with the Buperinteudeuts of the Durham-street
Chtlrch South and St Alban's circuits, with Messrs Prudhoe, Blackwell, and Bowson, were appointed a committee for the year. The Rev Mr Orchard was requested ', to open negotiations with the Bible Christian Church of England regarding a claim on the Children's Fund for 1896. Brisbane, March 11. The Wesleyan Conference, by 34 votes to 9, decided in favor of Methodist Union.
