Mr Seddon in Australia

(Press Association.)

Sydney, March 6. The Mararoa sailed to-day, Mr Seddon being among the passengers. Mr Seddon enquired into the question of carriage of produce between Australia and England, and he found that freights of all description of goods were considerably cheaper than charged on vessels trading to New Zealand and that the cheapest rates were those charged by the French and German steamship lines

Mr Seddon also enquired into the costs of working the mints of Victoria and New South Wales, and obtained a fund of information in the event of such an institution being required for New Zealand.

A large number of New ZeaUnders gave Mr Seddon a cordial send off.
