The second day's races were equally successful as the first. There was glorious weather, a large attendance, and brisk speculation. Results were :— Hurdles, 2 miles.—Rossall 1, Swift 2, Troubadour 3, Time, 3mins 45secs; dividend, £4 11s. Hack Hurdles, \\ miles.—Headford 1, Soror 2, Fireworks 3. Time, 2mins 54 l-3secs ; dividend, £3 2.
Wanganui Stakes.---Haria 1, Leda 2, St. Paul 3. Fabulist^ Daystar, The Brook, and Light altto started. A good race. Time, 2inins 40 l-ssecs ; dividend, £26 16s.
Nursery Handicap, 4 furlongs.— Defiant 1, Chasseur 2, Picklock 3. Time, 51secs; dividend, £1 10s.
Autumn Handicap, mile and distance.—The Miser 1, King's Bowman 2, Target 3. Time, 2mins lsec ; dividend, £3 14s.
Hack Flat, |-mile.—Vedette 1. Seven others ran. Time, lmin 18secs; dividend, £2 2s. , Farewell Handicap, one mile, — Ascot Vale 1, Bona Fide 2, The Workman 3. Time, Imin44secs; dividend, £3 Us.
