Licensing Committee.
I The last sitting of the Thames ! Licensing Committee, as at present constituted, was held in the Courthouse tbis morning. Mr Bush, S.M., presided, and there were also present Messrs Whitehead, Jones, McDonnell, Horn, Horuibrook and Major Swindler. Mr Jones welcomed Mr Bush to the district, and Mr Bush acknowledged the courtesy in a few well chosen words.
Mr Jones proposed, and Mr McDonnell seconded, the following resolution, which was carried unanimously : " That the Committee place on record its appreciation of tho kindness and courtesy it has always received at the hands of Mr H. Eyre Keuny, S.M., the late Chairman."
Tramway Hotel (CoBbBOWDix). Mr Miller produced the plan of a new building to be erected at Coroniandel in place of the present Tramway Hotel, at a cost of £1100, and the Committee expressed its approval of it. ; Transfer. A transfer of the Junction Hotel from William Burton to Thomas Surman was granted. ! This was aU the business.
