The Hauraki Tribune learns that application has been made to the Ohinetnuvi County Council by the owners of the new steamer Kia Ora for aid and assistance iv opening the new line of road to the TCia OraV Wharf on Mr Wight's laud at the Puke. A wharf 50ft long will be ready for use in a few days ; the contract is, we believe, to be finished on the 15th iust.; and goods' sheds are also been erected. In addition to about half-a-mile of road through Mr Wight'a land which he is willing to dedicate to the public a part of the Junetiou road has a till to be metal!ei ; aud both these works the Council will be asked to carry out at once, A deputatio i represent. ing the interests coxKorr.cl is u> w ait upf.a the Council and urge the carrying out of J th« work.
