THE CARDIGAN APPEAL, Jj'or sometime past two applications have been standing on the books, their fate being dependent on the decision of the Supreme Court in the Cardigan appeal case—Dean v. McCormick. These applications are.- Geo. Crocker, El Dorado special claim, Waiomo; J. W. Ryan, New Deep Lsvels Consolidated special claim, Thames. The effect of the Supreme Court judgment is that both are refused; the objector receiving £2 2s costs against Crocker, while three objectors against Ryan's application were awarded £1 Is each.
