Mr Arthur McDonald (Dunedin), has been appointed one of the three judges to select the New Zealand cricket team, which will be chosen after the Otago match on the 24th inst.

La the Auckland-Gordon match in the Domain on Saturday, Auckland put up 52, when the rain stopped the game, for the loss of six wickets. Stone, 21 (not out) was the highest scorer.
In the Pamell United contest, Parnellmade72, for the loss of one wicket—■ Wright 40, and Oisen 32 (not out), when the game was stopped by the heavy rain. ■' >' /
