DR. STUART'S FUNERAL.

Dunbdin, This day. The funeral of Dr. Stuart yesterday was very largely attended, the route of the procession being crowded, and the number of people in the streets is estimated at between 15,000 and 20,000. In the service at Knox Church representatives were present from every denomination in the city. The hearse was preceded by six pipers and three drummers, playing a lament, and flanked by a detachment of the Highland Kifles. The number in the procession is estimated to have been 5000, and it took thirty minutes passing a given point. It included the City school children, Volunteer companies, and members of the various public and local bodies. The Hon. Mr Ward represented the Government.
