Death of Cardinal Manning.

[Pbess Association, j London, January 14. Cardinal Manning died at 8 o'clock this morning.

Later. The Archbishop of York, Archdeacon Sinclair, and the Chief Babbi, called on Cardinal Manning yesterday. ; The Pope, sent his blessing by telegraph. The Cardinal died peacefully in the arms of the Be*. W. Vaaghan, Roman Catholic Bishop of Plymouth.

Hia Eminence Henry Edward Manning, Cardinal Archbishop cf Westminster, wa« born in 1808. He was educated at Harrow and Balliol College, Oxford, and graduated in 1830 and became Fellow of Mar Son Ooilege, Rector of Lanngton and GrafFham, Sussex in 1834 40, and Arohdeacon of Chioheßter in 1810-51.
