versary this evening by a soiree, concert, and dance in St. George's Hall, and erery preparation has been made to make the effair equally as successful as former gatherings. The Decoration Committee — Messrs Gubb (2), W. Newman, H Cordes, W. Hawk, and B. Barns,—were busily erga^ed the greater pa?t of the day decorating the hall with erergreeas, nikaoa, flags, &c, and the tasfofal manner in which the work has been carried oat reflects great credit upon them. Mohawk MinstrelsIt is anticipated that there will be a large attendance at the Academy of Music this evening, when a performance will be given by the Mohawk Minstrels. An attractive bill of fare has been provided for the occasion, and the prices are reasonable, so that a big house is anticipated, Tfca Boating Season. The opening of the boating seaso* at the Thames was to have been signalised by a procession of boats, but in conse* quence of the heavy wind that wa9 blowing, the idea had to bo abandoned. Several of tie boats, bowefer, wore cut off Shortlaod wharf.
