The fourth football match between the English team and the Auckland " reps " took place yesterday afternoon, and resulted in a " draw," each side succeeding in scoring a try, jj^noint. Brown, A. Tanfield ; halves, A. Braund, H. Herrold ; forwards, T. O'Connor (captain), O. Wells, N- McLean, C. Marshall, E. Crowe, W. Hobson, J. Lecky, E. McKenzie, J. Heffernan. The match throughout was splendidly contested, the Aucklanders having somewhat the best of the game owing to the brilliant play on the part of their forwards, whose fast dribbling rashes were quite a feature. Towards the end of the first term the ball was secured by Stoddart from a pass by Bumby, when the former made a grand run, and scored a " try" for the Englishmen. The kick was entrusted to Paul, but no goal 'resulted. The only other score was a " try " secured by Braund for Auckland in the second spell, but Lecfcy's kick at goal wag unsuccessful. Dr Smith acted as umpire for England, and Mr R. Whiteside for Auokland, while Mr E. W. Burgess performed the duties of referee.
