OUR MINES.

CAMBRIA.

17Olbs specimens similar to those obtained yesterday, came to hand last night. There is a good show left towards the bottom corner of the stope.

DARWIN.

There is little fresh to report from this mine. No. 3 level, if anything, looks better, some excellent mineral being in the quartz. Crushing will be commenced about a week hence.

THAMES GOLDEN CEOWN.

The past two days hare been, and tomorrow will be, occupied in putting the guides in the shaft, fixing the cages, and excavating the chamber.

NEW PRINCE IMPERIAL.

No. 1 reef, as the stopes rise towards No. 4 level, is crushing much better, being worth perhaps an ounce to the load. The little footwall leader has yielded about 251bs of picked stone this week. No. 4 leader, as stoped upon is worth over an ounce to the load, but it is small.

CALEDONIAN.

13 loads of quartz from the drive in the Red Queen leader at No. 3 level yielded 22oza odwts gold, and 5 loads from the winze on the main reef at No. 2 level produced soz lOdwts gold. These returns are payable.

NEW MANUKAU.

35 loads quartz yielded 420z3 gold. This is poor compared with last crushing, but the quartz contained little mineral on this occasion. The crosscut, is being continued towards the shaft for ventilation, and should connect in about 20ft.

NORTH STAR (TE PAPA GULLY)

The shareholders, who, after spending £50 each, and driving 700 ft., have struck what may prove to be payable gold. The leader is about a foot wide, and the quartz is well mineralised. Strong colors of gold are seen pretty freely. This level will give 120 ft. of backs, and, as gold equal to 1| and 2ozs to the load was obtained in thVievel above, .there is a fair prospect of the holders being rewarded for their patience and pluck.

GOLD RETURNS. Albttbnia.—A tribute parcel of 21ozs sdwts gold was banked to-day.

My wife and daughter were made healthy by tbo use of American Co.'c Hop Bitters, and I recommend it to my people.—Methodist Clergyman. Bead,
