[By Telegraph.]

(from our own correspondent.)

Auckland, This day.

Relative to the La Monte gold saving apparatus a deputation of members consisting of Messrs Hurst, Fraser, Peacock, Moss, and Mitchelson M's.H.R., waited on the Minister of Mines to-day. Mr Larnach agreed to give a bonus of £1000, after the machinery was put up and tested for twelve months, and produced the results represented. A meeting of capitalists was to have been held to-day to endeavour to find funds to erect machinery.

[We understand that the erection of one of the machines and apparatus is contemplated in the district.—Ed. Stab.]
