SAXON. . No. 3 lode in the winze is 18 inches wide. Driving hps been commenced at No. 6 level on a body of quartz which the manager regards as it. Payable quartz is still coming to hand from No. 1 reef. ■ NEW TELEGRAPH (SHELLBACK). Operations are being poshed ahead vigorously. The lode is a strong body of stone, and shows gold very freely, some pieces good enough to be classed as specimens being found. - • -'• .-■•■-■> - THAMES GOLDEN CKOWN. Good progress is being made with the sinking of the -shaft, in, the JVlary. Ann, , section. There is a very good class of I sandstone in the bottom/ and last night a stringer, showing excellent minerals, was ! cut. It is evidently a dropper from the I lode passed through a short time ago, [ NEW MANUKAU. I Stoping is proceeding on No. 3 leader, and payable quartz is being obtained. The crosscut is also being extended, ;'and t the manager hopes to cat other goldbearing leaders ahead. > CALEDONIAN^ ; The winze having 1 now been* 'squared up, the manager has, commenced eastward at No. 3 level.
