This day.
A fire in Symonda street this morning destroyed Tyre's store, Gilmour's store, and Lincoln's cottage. The insurances are—Tyre's stock, £800 in the New Zealand, bnilding £550 in the Standard; Gilmour's stock £1200 in the United (re-insured £300 each in the United, Northern, and Norwich Union), building £550 in the Standard ; Lincoln's cottage, £200 in the Standard.
