The Mayor has convened a public meeting to adopt .an address to His Excellency Sir Hercules Eobinson previous to his departure for New Zealand.

It is officially announced here that the P. and O. Company's tender for the Vic-torian-Suez mail service is £85,000. There were no other tenders.
