OLD GOLDEN CALF.
The crushing of 12 loads has leen finished at the Queen of Beauty mill for the yield of 26J ounces goid. At the mine work is in progress as usual. The manager is at present driving ahead as rapidly as possible to get under the winze and effectually cut the water in the winze. Then a rife will be put up to connect. Water is still coming from the roof of tbe drive and there is a slight reduction in the water in the winze. No quartz has been taken down lately.
