THIS DAY. . (Before Colonel Fraser, E.M.) . LABCENY. Mary Jane Oogan (on remand) was charged with feloniously stealing one pair of children's shoes, value 3s 6d, the property of one Wm. E. Danby, on the 20th inst. The mother of the girl promised to send the child to her friends at Cambridge to-morrow. : i His Worship remanded the defendant till to be let go when her mother was ready to send her to; her friends. BREACH OF HABBOUB BEGULATIONB. Charles Thow, Captain of the coal boat Sissy, was charged with a breach of the Harbor Regulations by discharging coal without first placing a tarpaulin from the vessel's bulwarks to the wharf. Defendant pleaded guilty; he was not aware of the regulations, and he had not been present at. the time. Capt. having been drunk and incapable yesterday, and also with having been thrice convicted of drunkenness within the-pre; ceding three months. ' ■ , Defendant pleaded guilty, and was fined 10s and costs for first offence, and sentenced to seven days' imprisonment forj the second. ■ ; i B. H. T. Gilbert, who. appeared in Court with his face in a very" much, battered condition, was charged with having been drunk and incapable yesterday, and also with being an habitual drunkard. Defendant pleaded guilty. He said since the last time he Mas taken up till yesterday he had been a teetotaller.
