This day. At a meeting last night it was resolved to contribute £200 of the surplus funds of the floods relief commit,tee to the sufferers by the Waimate fire.
At a meeting of master builders last night it was resolved not to advance, the wages beyond current rates, which areplasterers, 15s ; bricklayers, 14s ; masons 14s; carpenters, 12s; painters, 12s; laborors 89 and 9s.
