CROWN PRINCESS.
The main shaft is progressing satisfactorily, 28 feet being down with good working country. The winzes on No. 2 reef have given fresh proof of the value of this lode, being relatively down 12 and 8 feet with two feet quartz and eighteen inches. Prom both good stone has been obtained, as much as half a hundred weight coming to hand on Saturday. The value is more inasmuch as it proves the gold to descend with the depth. No 3 has been driven on for 80 feet, and shows better under foot than hitherto. Altogether the prospects of this mine are assuring.
