Sib,—l perceive in your issue of the 25th inst. that one Robert YVinnate undertakes to reply to . poor "Deluded Shareholder." I think that every ono that reads his effusion will agree with mo in coming to the : conclusion that ho has undertaken thai ho is not qualified to do. IHe may be able to work'a tribute and find it more profitable than being underground-boss for a company,; but he will find that such, remarks as "paper collars" and "fire bobs' worth of scrip " do not answer or explain in any way the -facts laid,- down in Deluded Shareholder's letter. I think his corns must have been pretty severely pinched for him to have taken the matter up. Tho mininfrreporfc ia the 'Tiser said he (Wingato) having been underground boss before, knew where to 'find' the gold—or words to that effect. Now, in; Heaven's name, why. did he not find thatsame gold for the company. VAs- regards; his denying that there was any swindling -rgoing on in the Black Angel while he was there, no one said there was. I merely mentioned the fact in connection with swindi ling of si, claim lying' idle, making a call to pay secretary and honorarium fees to the directory. With these few remarks, I conclude with sayingdfr would hay been well for me had I only shave, spent "five bob "in scrip.
