WALKER CUP
No Match Next Year LONDON, October 30. The St. Andrews Championship Committee, in announcing that the Walker Cup match between Britain and America would not be played in 1946, said there would be great difficulty in arranging representative competition, because the majority of the young men were still under wartime direction. It added that the open golf championship will be played at St. Andrews from July 1 to July 5, and the amateur championship at Birkdale. Southport, from May 27 to May 31, 1946.
