Haunted House.— The almost incredible sight of a publicly-displayed notice board bearing the words "Houses to Let" and appearing in Dannevirke recently is still puzzling a Waipukurau resident who was visiting the town. He stopped bewildered before the rarity A four-roomed structure, the dwelling was available at a weekly rental of 21/- “The place must be haunted!" was the unbelieving comment of a passer-by.
