Packing Completed At Timaru Total Of 16,985 In Last Four Years What is thought will be the last patriotic parcels were packed a,t the Assembly Hall yesterday by the Timaru Women's Patriotic Committee, bringing the total for the last four years to 16,985. Yesterday 996 parcels were packed, the contents being one tin each of cake, fruit, tongues, oysters, barley sugar, condensea cream, coffee and milk, jam and cheese. A khaki handkerchief, a packet of razor blades and a packet of plastaids also went into each parcel. The chairman of the committee (Mrs A. E. S. Hanan) and the secretary (Mrs R. Stout) were assisted bv memoevs oi the committee and women of various organisations in the town, together with men of Toe H and volunteers.
