FAIRLIE MACKENZIE COLLIE CLUB
Annual Meeting At the annual meeting of the Mackenzie Collie Dog Club, held at Burke’s Pass, a motion of sympathy was passed with the relatives of Mr T. Davidson, a pioneer member and competitor at the Mackenzie trials. A vote of sympathy was also passed with Mr H Hammond in his accident, a hope being expressed that he would make a speedy recovery. The president (Mr R. Rapley) extended a welcome to Private D. Allan. All were pleased, he said, that he was with them, after having been a prisoner of war for four years. The balance-sheet which showed a credit balance of £3O was adopted. The president thanked the judges and the numerous supporters of the club for donations and special prizes. Mr Seay for the use of sheep, and Mr Parker for the use of land. The election of officers resulted: President, Mr R. M. Rapley; life members, Mesdames W. Scott, C. A. Parker, A. Allan, R. C. Kilgour and Miss S. Keeffe. Messrs A. S. Smith, T. J. Seay, W. R. McConnell, C. A. Parker, R. Cowan, A. Allan, C. Hayter. and the following club members who served in the war: Messrs R. M. Rapley, F. Smeal, R. McLean. J. Casey. F. Creighton, D. Allan, O. Willetts, M McKinnon, H. Morrison and R. C. Kilgour; patrons, Messrs D. C. Kidd M.P., D. M. C. Burnett, T. J. Seay and J. Inness; vice-presidents, Messrs N. Seay (senior), S. P. Mackenzie (junior). A. W. Smith. J. A. McKinnon. lan Mackenzie, W. Mackintosh, J. Whyte, J. Cassie, P. Quill, D. M. Robertson. A. Curtis and B.
