WOMEN’S INSTITUTES

KIMBELL Mrs D. J. Keenan presided over the last meeting of the Kimbell Women’s Institute. It was decided to forward donations to the Makogai Leper Fund and to Stratheona Training Hostel. Short talks on “People in the News” were given by Mrs Waters and Miss Hill. Mrs Waters acted as hostess. The competitions resulted: Boy’s trousers to be sent to Unrra, Miss Cooper 1, Mrs Keenan 2.
