STRIKES CONTINUE
N.S.W. Workers (Rec. 8.50 p.m.) SYDNEY, Sept. 28. Wharf labourers returned to work on overseas vessels to-day, but there are still about 14,000 workers involved in stoppages in New South Wales. Fifteen mines are idle in New South Wales today. More than 3200 miners are involved and the loss of coal is about 12,300 tons. Electricity supplies failed in many Sydney suburbs again this morning. Bunnerong powerhouse strikers having refused to resume work, further blackouts are likely.
