DIRECTOR OF PUBLICITY
Resignation Tendered (F.0.P.R.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 28. The Director of Publicity, Mr J. T. Paul, has tendered his resignation, which is to take effect from the end of the present month. Since the end of the war and the official abolition of the censorship, the staff of Mr Paul’s office has been reduced, but it has continued to handle certain publicity material and to supply items of New Zealand news for the N.Z.E.F. papers overseas. Mr Paul’s office has also continued to prepare a daily news bulletin for broadcasting to the Pacific. It is understood that these duties are now to be undertaken by the information section of the Prime Minister’s Department. There have been suggestions that Mr Paul was to be in charge of a film unit division of this information section, but no indication has been given that this is likely.
